PHCA Partners with International Culinary Institute
New collaboration to enhance student exchange and learning opportunities
PHCA has entered into a strategic partnership with the prestigious Singapore Culinary Institute (SCI), opening exciting new opportunities for student exchanges, collaborative programs, and knowledge sharing between the two institutions.
Under this partnership agreement, selected PHCA students will have the opportunity to spend a semester at SCI in Singapore, experiencing international culinary education standards and diverse Asian cuisines. Similarly, SCI students will visit PHCA to learn about Nepali cuisine, hospitality traditions, and regional culinary practices.
The collaboration extends beyond student exchanges to include faculty development programs, joint research initiatives on culinary innovation, and the development of new certification programs recognized in both countries. PHCA faculty members will participate in professional development workshops in Singapore, while SCI instructors will conduct specialized training sessions in Nepal.
"This partnership represents a significant step in internationalizing our curriculum and providing students with global perspectives," commented our Director of International Programs. "Exposure to different culinary traditions, teaching methods, and industry practices will enhance our students' versatility and employability."
The first batch of exchange students will depart for Singapore in January 2026. The program will initially accommodate 10 students from each institution, with plans to expand the program based on its success. Students will be selected based on academic performance, language proficiency, and demonstrated commitment to culinary excellence.
